Rather disappointing really. I'm sure it's a stock reply. Starts off: "Thank you for contacting me about the Times campaign on cycling in cities." All party line after that.

Anybody else had one?

Yup I got one from my local MP too (who happens to be DC). Haven't got it with me atm but it contained pretty much what I'd have expected. I'll see if I can scan it in later.

I had one back saying they had forwarded my letter to the Department for Transport when I had asked my MP specific question and his views. Was not happy. I imagine they must have been bombarded though.

You think I'd get a different response? What I sent her was hardly stock boilerplate.

Keep sending them letters back saying that they've not answered your questions/ asking for clarification on specific points. Give them work to do for a change.

Yeah, same here. I think you have to [s]pay them money[/s] "lobby" them to get them to do something. Next time try being a large multinational company, that should get you somewhere.
