So, a mate has just finished the Bob Graham round. He'd been training for ages and was undertsandably, completely chuffed with himself. But it got me thinking, could all the Lakes big passes & Classic trails be hike-a-biked and ridden in 24 hours? I reckon you would have to include the 3 Kentmere passes, Helvelyn, Skiddaw, Whinlatter trails, the 4 around Great Gable, Rosset Ghyll, Walna Scar, then a whole load of minimal road linking stuff. I might have to fire up memory map after dinner.

It'd be a shame trying to stick to bridleways when there's so much more good stuff that's footpaths / unclassified ๐Ÿ™‚

Just go and have a big day out. The one you describe would take more than 24hr.
