With a day to burn at Afan would you go for Skyline or The Wall & then Penrhydd? Looking at the map Skyline appears to have quite a bit of forest track to move you around.

Skyline took us just under 4 hours & we stopped a few times for food & to take pictures. Penhydd & Wall took us just over 3 hours including a cake stop at Afan VC. (we are average fitness & all in our 40's)
We're going back to try the W2 in a week or two.

My choice would be Whites in the morning, then a lovely lunch at the Dropoff. Have the Rarebit, that is an order. Then up the same climb (it's a good one, so don't worry!) and down the July route, a shortcut of Skyline. Lovely riding.

OK, so you do the same climb twice, but it's one of the finest climbs in Wales, IMO.
