er - which one?

and also, don't miss out on Drumlanrig castle whilst you are in the area - Rik has put in some lovely trails there with a completely different feel to the FC stuff.

The thing with the 7 stanes is that there is more than one of them. Think it was 8 at the last count.

Personal opinion and feedback on the stanes.

Glentress - Good but busy run on the red. Spooky wood decent is great and the black sections (the bitch and wormhole) are a good challenge. Black is a nice runn, bit more natural in places.

Innerleithan - Some really good downhill sections with a nice technical Black section half way round. Can have a bit of fun jumping at the quarry. Tough climb to start with but worth it.

Ae forrest - Really enjoyed this last time I was there although only rode a few times. Omega man my favourite section

Mabie - Natural XC style run, that is constant up and down. Downhill bits can be a challenge due to long crass and decender bender is an interesting climb. the Darkside has some really good log runs lasting about 3.6km, although I heard that some of this is closed at the moment.

Drumlarnig - Never done this but feedback is can be really interesting in the wet due to natural rooty trails.

Kirroughtree - Again never done this but the black run (particularly McMoad) is supposed to be out of this world. Think the 31km Black should be on the list.
