Rim or disc?

Pacenti Brevet look good and are tubeless, 650b and rim brake compatible.

If it's for disc then any xc rim should do? The Hunt ones look smart and you can get a Dynamo version.

Kinlin XR31 rims on Novatec hubs would be a good budget choice - about as light and strong as you'll get.

MASON X HUNT 650B ADVENTURE SPORT DISC WHEELSET

Just got some for my now rigid Cannondale Slate and they seem great so far, especially for the price

Cycleclinic in Cambridge, DCR Wheels or Spa Cycles could do you a build with Kinlin rims. FWIW Hunt Wheels are just rebranded Kinlin / Novatec

Would you not consider a bespoke build with a dynamo front? I wouldn't consider touring without a dynamo these days.

Wtb Kom are probably my preferred light-ish road friendly rim these days. A good fit with most of the current crop of tighter tyres. Not eyeletted if out and out long term touring reliability is your concern.

Other half has been using crests (26) for touring, as well as mtb. The advantage there is that you can buy cheap, looser fit tyres and still run them tubeless easily.

Dovebiker, it's not quite as simple as Hunt wheels just being rebranded Kinlin / Novatec.
