[#11928260]

I've just ordered a 786 rear camera / light, which comes with a go pro style mount. The mount provided is plastic, and intended to clamp round a seatpost. I'd rather have a sturdier mount, and in any case i have a pannier rack fitted. This has a dedicated place for rear lights which expects a mount with a 50mm screw / bolt spacing. I'd hoped that the clamp that comes with the camera might work as it does have two bolts, but the spacing is not right.

Any suggestions as to where i might find something to bolt on to the rack that will allow me to fit the camera?

I think you might be looking at a bodge or custom bracket for that. Shouldn't be too hard for someone with a 3D printer or an old GoPro mount and a drill.

Could you adapt a GoPro seat rail adapter?

If you could stand plastic, I could knock. Something up using my 3d printer...

Also looking for something like this.

Ideally a flat plate which the reflector could bolt through with the GoPro mount on the top?

Your Image didn't show.

Something like this might work with the vertical pair of holes:

And/or a little extra drilling...

Would one of those helmet mounts be a solution? The ones that look like a flat plastic strap with the mount in the middle. My son got one with his action camers. I would post a picture but its STW and im feeble. You could trim the 'strap' and bolt either horizontally or vertically using those holes in the pannier mount.

@cookeaa that looks perfect, what's it called and where can i buy one please?

@greatbeardedone, another good suggestion, will see if i can find out the distance between the holes. The image of the rack above is not my bike, just one i found online, i do run full mudguards cheers for that very reason

@greatbeardedone has come up with the winner, I've found a uk seller where it confirms the mount has 1" spacing

The vertical holes on the rack are 1" spacing for a reflector, so that should be perfect. I'll order one now
