It's been ages since I've done it so the Mrs and I fancy the 4 passes (Honister, Scarth Gap, Black Sail, Seathwaite etc) tomorrow. Has anyone been up there today? Just asking in case there's snow still on some of the North facing passes.

Happy to meet up if anyone else was riding round there and wanted company ๐Ÿ™‚

Actually, don't fancy the drive around from Keswick, think we'll do Nan Bield, Gatesgarth and Garburn instead ๐Ÿ˜›

Yeah I dunno why I said Keswick, we were staying in Kendal hence Honister being a but of a trek around. Looks nice for a ride today starting at Staveley. Based on what we saw yesterday there shouldn't be snow low enough to cause any trouble.

To get to Hawkshead from t'North, you'll have to head round down the M6 then back up again. Probably wouldn't take any longer than the scenic route anyway ๐Ÿ™‚

Was up angle tarn from hayeswater yesterday, down to Boredale, then up sticks to do seldom seen - not much in the way of ice but the odd pocket of it in rocky gullies. Was cold last night though, could be more today.

Some great track in there whatnobeer, loads of fun.

Just to close the loop, there were some big icy patches on the Gategarth descent, one of which took out the Mrs for her efforts. Face in to a rock and lucky to walk away with a bloodied lip.

Lots of storm damage and more ice on the way up Nan Bield but mostly clear on the way down to Kentmere.
