I'm posting this for a friend who had her 4 bikes stolen in a targeted attack from her Garage in Penylan, Cardiff on 24th August. Unfortunately they aren't insured and they are worth about £15,000 if not more. Please keep an eye out for them, we are due to fly to Spain in 2 weeks for an MTB holiday but at present they have no bikes as EVERYTHING was taken. If you see anything that is sus please call 999 to get it dealt with directly, then e-mail me or reply on thread. Thanks guys. There are some real scum out there!

i'll keep an eye out I know how he feels having bikes stolen back in November. Get down to Splott market boot sale and the boot sale at Ninian park, stolen bikes are always showing up there. There is a gang in Rumney, Cardiff that are known for hanging around cwmcarn and following you home post ride. Comming back a few days later and taking bikes.

I know about insurance! They were however on renewal every year the T&C's and changed and bikes needed to be listed (not like when the original policy was taken out about 5 years ago), so unfortunately they will get £2000!!! I don't think anyone needs lecturing about that, no one more gutted than them. Ebay is being serached regularly, I was just hoping with enough people in local and further out areas (Bristol) etc we can keep our eyes peeled, even if they got 1 back each it would be ace!!! 2 of them weren't even a year old.

I got one of these last time we rented a place in Wales.
http://www.maplin.co.uk/garage-shed-alarm-30579
It is frickin loud in a confined space and battery powered. It gives another layer of security and let me sleep at night until one of the other guys forgot to turn it off and it woke me up pretty fast.

I had two bikes stolen from Cardiff area earlier this year, and the only thing I can put it down to was Cwmcarn and being followed home.

It would be interesting to know were they've ridden in the past couple of weeks

Marko, thank you so much for that kind offer, I shall let them know but I think they may hire for the holiday now. They must've been targeted too and they regularly ride from their house so it's feasible. It's just so sickening and sh!te that the poliec aren't interested as it's not a Home Office priority. Mind I got her to phone back and drop some key phrases in so she had attendance today but it shouldn't be like that .
