I have a scott 29 er hardtail and would like to upgrade the seatpost . Any recommendations, light, 400mm, take the sting out of trail, good to race ?

Can,t seem to find the syncros to buy, is the ritchey a carbon wcs ? anyone used one ?

The range of posts at 34.9 seems very limited and price crazy, would using a shim on a hardtail for racing and training hard work or are there slip issues ?
