For many years I've had the most amazing pair of Giro gloves, but they've finally died and I need to find something to replace them with. They're so old I have no idea which model they were, so haven't been able to see if there are any randoms lying around on eBay or similar.
What I'm looking for are:
- full finger, ideally fleece gloves. The main thing is to be breathable (I have warm hands so don't need anything waterproof or even fully wind resistant as they will just make my hands sweat which is where fleece is a good balance for me). This seems to rule out a lot of winter gloves
- a little padding on the palms would be great, but not essential
- summer gloves are generally a bit too thin for al year riding, but there are probably some out there that might work
- not even that fussed about colour, but neutral grey/black would be perfect
So STW, what do you suggest?

I always have cold hands, even in the height of summer, for this time of year I have a normal pair of full finger gloves that are slightly too big that I wear with thin wool liner gloves, keeps my digits toasty a treat!
Everyone always says Briskers. I bought some, they were shite. I would suggest a decent 2 season GoreTex glove with room for a silk liner to go in when it’s colder.
I’ve some Troy Lee designs swelter gloves. Too hot for summer, but I’ve worn them riding in zero degrees and they’re fine for me.
Windproof but not waterproof, are super flexible and comfy.
I do run hot tho.
I find gloves one of the most subjective biking items. I must have ten pairs covering nearly all bases but no real Goldilocks pair.
Briskers are my three season ones, nowhere near warm enough for colder days for me, but good for the majority of spring summer autumn. However can see someone has already suggested they are rubbish which is why there’s no real consensus
Brisker for me.
When it's too warm for them I don't wear gloves. When it's too cold for them I don't want to ride anyway.
I bought Briskers, and I certainly like them. But I consider them winter gloves. I would never think of reaching for them now that the suns out, the trails are dry. It’s only 12 degrees, but that still means it’s much too warm for Briskers in my book.
my 3 season choice is Fox Ranger. If I’m going on an uplift day, I like more padding. (Another Fox glove, but I’m not sure of the model - Sidewinder?). But for any pedalling day, the Rangers are just about perfect for my mitts.
Something handling three seasons is tricky. I have ended up with three pairs.
Shimano goretex winter gloves for when it is properly chilly.
briskers for when it is starting to warm up.
7idp for once it gets into double figures.
I can wear Briskers in 3 seasons, just not winter. I do have cold hands but tbf there's no such thing as a 3 season including winter glove for me, it's just not practical- anything that keeps me warm in actual winter, is unbearable in anything else and also has big downsides in terms of bulk, etc.
I bought Briskers, and I certainly like them. But I definitely don't consider them winter gloves.

My winter may not be the same as your winter 🙂
For me, it's a 2 season (autumn, spring), 1 season (winter), 1 season (summer).
Obviously massive variables so there will be some overlap.

The 2 seasons - when it's been wet/cold either or, I've found the 100% Hydromatics to be a good choice

I wear these winter, spring and autumn - and will start this morning's ride (3C) in them.
Absolutely brilliant gloves. Not waterproof but they are so breathable that wet hands dry in them and windchill is cut dead.
Thanks all, some food for thought there. When I said three season I guess I meant something that worked in autumn, spring and milder winter weather. For summer I'd definitely be in thin or no gloves.
Having seen the Briskers online I'd written them off as the back looked too thick but I'll have to try and find a shop to see what they're like in real life. Will also have a look at the Fox Rangers.
Hadn't considered Rab so will also look at those.

Try these mate, they are warm-ish, breathable, durable and grip well enough:

Just shows how much we vary! I appreciate I live on the south coast so it’s the warmest part of the UK but Briskers are one season gloves for me - winter!
If padding isn't essential I'd try defeet dura gloves. Cover all the seasons you describe. If you buy two pairs you can double them up for colder weather.
