Can't see another obvious thread.
Looks like Rob Jeb has taken the honour back.
Good effort to all those [s]mad[/s] fit enough to have a go!
Should be some good pictures if the weather down there has been as good as it has been up here.
Well done all.
I've been moping at home, cos I'd to drop out.
I see Mr Stephenson of Biketreks doesn't appear to be slowing down with age.
No, but I am!
Just got back home. Absolutely sh@gged. 5 minutes slower than last year but still loved it. Saw a few off 'ere. Shaggy seemed to have done well. richpips seemed to keep popping up all over the place. Terrahawk posted a sub 4 time and then rode home to Manchester!!
Good to see Nick Craig and Barrie Clark still competing.
Missed sub 4hour by BLOOMIN 4 SODDING minutes!!!!Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I missed it by 6 mins and 33 seconds so you still beat me!
Couple of years ago I missed it by 3 minutes which I wasn't impressed with.
Great event, lovely weather, saw a few folk off here - Mr, Mrs and Baby Flash spectating on PyG, richpips + family, Shaggy (who did very well, about 3.36 IIRC), Manchester Trev (who DNF'd with a mechanical).
SO glad my prediction of bad weather was wrong although the wind was a pain, never seemed to be a tailwind... How does that work?
4.08 here! last couple of years saw me post sub 4 but didnt really feel up for it today, Rode round took it all in and actually enjoyed myself.
I said all week never again! Yeah right lol
I Was on the lynskey mincing down the hills you guys prob flew past on pennny gent!!
How good was the weather today? Total change from last weekend.
Never even saw Jebb this year, good to have him back on top.

I was riding alongside you on the PyG climb towards the top I think... Silver Lynskey with EC90 forks? The only reason I even vaguely took it in was cos it was obviously different to pretty much everything else out there!
My PyG descent wasn't bad actually apart from the daft tosser with his carbon walking poles who wouldn't move and muttered "you've got no right to be here" after I'd asked/told him to move off the line on the descent.
Congratulations to all the guys and girls who did it. Great support today on Pen-Y-Ghent
Crazy legs- Ec 70 forks with red bar tape. What were you on?
To be fair to the walkers i think i heard more aggro between the cyclists on pyg. Plus 1 head on crash! Both seemed ok, suppose its inevitable at some point! ๐
Saw a few bikers on PyG that werent in the race getting in the way!
First vid online:
My mate Si in at number 40! Couple of mins behind Shaggy...
Hat's off to all who took part.
Nuff respeck etc.
Heres a couple of pics I took on Pen Y Ghent

no idea who the riders are - but if its you and you want a copy just email me
4hr 27 here. 8mins down on last year. Had a rocky faceplant on the descent off PyG trying to stay ahead of Isla Rowntree!
Fabulous weather, much clearer than last year, which helps ๐
I knew Andy Stephenson had trained pretty hard for this but was amazed at his performance. MrsF thought she saw him on the way up, I said "No, can't have been, we won't see him for another half hour or so yet ". Then we saw him on the way down PYG. I didn't see anyone else that smooth or fast. I see he picked up 19 places on the descent of PYG.
Fantastic ride. Well done mate.
Big well done to my other half Rich (Mocha) who was crazy enough to do it singlespeed- a little slower than last year but recovering from flu and suffering sleep deprivation after flying in from abroad probably didn't help!!

Richpips was out photo-ing yesterday as well coupled with some nifty running between Peaks, I'm looking forward to seeing his shots.
God I ache today!
Hey up StAnley, I must have walked past thee without seeing you. Hope youre well lad, some cracking pics.
Some cracing crazy descending on PyG, it shows up how gay I am at descending on a suspension forked bike!
we had a great day spectating, was good to see a lot of stw regulars doing well.
I felt guilty munching into a pork pie when they were coming past me on PyG after one guy said "Ill swap you mate, im ****ed" so hid it between riders coming past
A few of my pics now up on the British Cycling flickr.

Hey Rich,
My preparation consisted of working 80hrs a week for the last 31/2 months and having only three days off in 3 mths. I have not trained at all, just the regular Tues and Thurs mountain bike rides. It was a case of head down and get on with it. Crazy event, you should do it once at least. I reckon if I did train there is 5-10mins per hill to save going up, and another 3-5mins coming down. Took the wrong line high up on PYG ended up on the rocks, enjoyed PYG Lane, could have gone faster, but too much traffic that where on the brakes!! It was too late in the race for brakes
It's a shame some of the mountain bikers didnt have the courtesy to get out of the way of the competitors, one of our lads went over the bars on penyghent and bent his wheel becuase a bloke on a mtb wasnt looking where he was going, ended up loosing time and nearly lost 15th place.
Rich pips, I looked through you albums this afternoon. In my opinion the best sets of photos ive seen. Good work.
Decent vid of the event:
