Last year I did it in the rather embarrassing time of 5hrs 45.

I am already now much fitter than I was at the same point last year, but I haven't done any form of racing since.

I don't know whether to give it a miss this year and just enjoy riding and running, and see what fitness improvement that just gives in itself, or whether to enter again, putting pressure on myself to train etc.

Really can't decide at the moment... ๐Ÿ˜•

Who else is doing it?

For me, the only person your racing in an event like that (NA - Rob, Nick etc) is yourself - so get your entry in and crack on training. I'd quite like another bash - but don't currently own a CX bike ๐Ÿ™

I've entered, hopefully I'm deemed worthy

Agree with qwerty - I did it on the 50th anniversary year with biblical weather, in a really poor time, but can't wait to go back.

I've done it the once 4.59.58 !! If I'd gone over the 5hrs I might have had another go. But it's not really my thing so I won't be going back.

I've put an entry in this year, see how it goes.

As mentioned, you are really only racing yourself ๐Ÿ˜•

Well I've put an entry in, and pleased that I've made the decision to do so, already been out for a long hilly run tonight !
