It's our annual Manxies on tour weekend and we're staying at Maibie. I've got a dry Sat/Sun and a potential deluge on Monday (according to forecasts)
My three days were going to be (if all days dry)
Sat-Maibie and Dalbeattie
Sun-Ae
Mon-Kirroughtree
Of the above 3 days which one is best saved until the potential wet day (I.e. least exposed)
Kirrochtree is the long single ride so probably better done in the dry,
Ae on the rainy day. It's the shortest you've got planned and most easily missable (you can always push up the last section of the omega man and session that for a while as it's the best bit)
save K'tree for the dry. It's a cracker.
Ae is the only one that is exposed I'd say. If it's really wet, I'd consider drumlanrig instead, as it's pretty much all under trees and the rain makes the roots fun.
