Got four days of in October and would like to do a 3 day ride preferably loop, but don't mind so long as I can get back via train to car, ideally in Wales but don't mind Scotland any ideas?

3 days should be possible if conditions are good.
I'd second both Trans-Cambrian and tour de Cairngorms, I used to live for this stuff before the road bike took over. Need to get out with the tent!
You'd do Wales south/north in 3 days.
