Planet X Pro Line, which are ~£17.50 in their latest sale with "sizzling30" code.

Just be warned that the upper body material covers a fair bit of your back, I've got he shorts version and as much as the pad was ok, turbo sessions above z3 were uncomfortably warm in the lockdown heatwave. Won't be such an issue autumn to spring.

If like the bib shorts, they size large, take smaller size if near crossover.

I'm a big fan of Swrve they're the closest thing you can get to Hypnotic Design Hanksters which are sadly no longer available, or Swobo which made some incredible wool ones that were fabulous...

They're lovely on and off the bike, the shorts are great too!

Swrve UK customer service is great as well

@Tracey they look good , do they come down mid shin area as it's hard to tell with that Biketart pic? Thanks

Shorts are SO short nowdays. I like 410mm plus even for SHORTS, so many are as short as 320! 2" gap above the pads!

Madison DTE are an OK length but not really 3/4, they come a bit past the knee but like those BikeTart ones, they have very "tailored" shaped knee area and at 6'2" with 36" inside leg they are a bit short on me so the knee cup isn't on my knee when seated..
https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Madison-DTE-Waterproof-Baggy-Shorts_117722.htm

RaceFace 3/4 were great but are no more, 535mm inseam, nice

Altura Attack, inseam in large about 19"

Endura have various 3/4 length offerings

Mavic H20 waterproof are long 465 inseam, 500+ at front.

Sweet Protection Hunter are quite long for shorts

if you really want mid calf then you could always buy trousers [say endura singletrack] and shorten them, you get exactly what you want that way.

Thanks mudfish that gives me some more options. I'm 5 11 so maybe won't suffer as much as you with the length issue.

I have the small and they come mid shin on me, 31" inside leg, they are a good 3/4 and are longer than the Madison DTE shorts in the link above as I have them as well

Be aware they do the trail in normal and 3/4 leg

I've just ordered another pair of Endura Hummvee 3/4's which have lasted ages, until I put a hole through the knee this morning (thank you knee pads for saving my knee cap and flesh). They're excellent and come with a padded liner as well.

The Madison Zeniths are great but I find the waist relatively big compared to the leg diameter and there's no belt loops. I've bodged it so I can use braces or they slip down.
