When you change to 2x9 and remove the large chainring, apart from just winding in the stop screw did you find you needed to adjust the front mech ?
You don't need to... I lowered mine slightly, but a lot of people would say that's wrong (I found that the shifting was just as good but it made a little less noise)
As above, you could lower but I didn't bother (just in case i'd have second thoughts about 2x10). Didn't do anything else. works a treat
I found that its best left where it is, may look odd high upcbut better.
I think problems tend to occur if you change the size of the chainrings. If you stick with 22/32 it should be sweet. A bloke I ride with was getting loads of grief with something like a 26/38 combo and a mega slx mech...never worked very well
