Having sampled the big wheels recently, i'm thinking about adding one to the collection. I've just been made redundant so i'll have limited cash-flow for the foreseeable future but have been assured that a sweetener is in the paycheck in march.

Has anybody got any recommendations for a reasonable buy in the current market - Will be looking around 16-18" of rigid joy.

Thanks, chris

If your looking for a cheap first forray then CRC are/were selling The 29er from Viper at £112 for a 19" frame. Or the normal solution, On-One 🙄 .

It all depends what your frame budget is.

N.B. I have not tried either of the above options so they might be pants 😕

You can buy my Diamondback if you like Chris. 18" which is why it's hardly been ridden and why it's going.

I've put some shimano M525 discs on it, decent width bars and a sensible length stem. It's also now a 1x9 speed, they come as a ss but whoever spec'ed them and chose the gearing had never ridden a ss 29er.

£300, it's like new condition wise just with some better bits on. If you want a pic or any proper details email stuart@forestfreeride.co.uk

Cheers
Stuart
