Yeh I'd second that. My Big Dog has similar geometry and the same spec + a dropper post. I'd uprate to better tyres and ask if a dropper can be retro fitted.
I'm 6ft3 and ride an XL 2017 specialised stumpjumper and an XL 29er scandal mk3. The scandal feels a better fit

I’m 6’3” and treated myself to a sonder signal ti can’t really give much feedback on it just yet as it’s my first hardtail since the 80’s and not had much time to ride but first impressions eccellente 😉
I got a new Scandal recently, built it up from a frame and it's a middle of the road build. Not too heavy but but still burly enough for some fun. It's been ideal for piecing together bits of single-track and bridleways straight from my door, very impressed with it so far.
Well I'm glad I didn't hit the buy button on the Scandal the other day as they have just dropped the price by £200, so I have ordered one now 😮
Oh and thanks to Montgomery for offering me a new frame 🙂
