Some advice please...converting to SS for winter on a 29er, using a 2.25" Rocket Ron rear tyre & a 34t ring up front, which rear cog shall i go for on smooth-ish rolling terrain - 18t ?

10% lower gearing than you would on a 26" wheeled bike (so 2T more on the rear cog usually) ad the wheels are approximately 10% bigger in circumference.

34 x 19 would be a reasonable start if you are fit
