Anyone got so many bikes bits that they were able to mash a 650b onto the back of a 29er frame? Any good?

Someone must be beardy enough to have done this

I'm about to try to do this with a 26" frame - already got a 29er on the front. The idea is to try to bring the steering head to a better angle.

Yeah, I have a beard ๐Ÿ™‚

[strokes beard]

Perhaps if both wheels were the same size, but a different size, ideally mid-way between 700c and 650b. That would be perfect...

yup. plenty of people have done this .. it's generally "called" a B9er / B9'r

for example ..

http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=515130

Having riden a few 69ers and not quite gelled wiv' em .. i think the b9er addresses the 69ers flaws .. and is a betterer idea. Although still not ideal for short arses like moi.. I'm stinking with dual 650B

lol. I was gonna stick a smaller (650b) on the back of my GF rig to improve accel, clearance etc. I guess lowering the back would raise the front(angle), so if I put the rebas back to 80mm it should be similar angles to when they were 100mm, no? Any thoughts?

Am I the only one that can see the funny side of that -

"I ride a Bu99er", "I'm gonna Bu99er my bike tonight" ๐Ÿ˜‰

The rear hub is on the way out so I think 650b will be on the cards.

I think that maybe you are, you must not be able to move for weeks if someone tells you they've got a 69er. ๐Ÿ™„
