[Closed] 26x1.8 alternative to Racing Ralph
As it says. Any recommendations of 1.8 width tyres as an alternative to Racing Ralphs (don't seem to make them in 1.8).
I could possibly use 1.9 or 2.0 but not really any wider (restricted clearance on chainstay).
They do 1.8" Rons and Nics.
I take it Ron's are a bit racier? (if such a thing exists!)
They're a lighter carcass, less tread on the shoulders but more in the middle. Good tyres.
Thanks. Any non Schwalbe alternatives? (not got a problem with Schwalbe, just wondering).
I have a Conti Explorer, that is supposed to be 2.1, but looks skinnier - it was recommended to me by someone on STW as its like a Vertical, but I was struggling for clearance, don't know if the tread pattern is suitable for your intended use, but might be worth a look.
Specialized Houffalize come in 1.8, not TLR specified but I've run them tubeless without probs
Spesh Sauserwind come in 1.8" and they are tubeless ready. They're also shit.
bontrager make lots of narrow tyres
Mud Xs come in 1.8" certainly, not so sure about the others.
