Hi all. need some advice. My sons riding on 242 Kendas but is popping an inner tube every week when hes riding at Bike Park Wales. Ive been advised to look at different tyres so thought id come here first to see if anyone has any reccomendations. Ive pumped the rear up as hard as i can get it but this doesnt seem to help and constantly stopping to change tubes eats into his coaching time and isnt good for the group. Any ideas folks?
Rocket rons in 24 x 2.1
Maxxis Snyper might be worth a look too, though my kids are on Rockets Rons.
The sidewall on the Rons are not super thick though. My eldest managed to pinch flat at Llandegla the other week.
You can get 24x2.0 Hutchinson Toro in a proper Tubeless ready version, they're perhaps more of an XCish width/tread pattern but going tubeless is normally the best solution to constantly pinching tubes...
I'm not aware of many others doing TR tyres in 24"....
Got x2 bnib Rocket Rons for sale if you fancy them.
