First world Monday problems, Trying to arrange a biking trip for a group !
After ideas for 2027 for an overseas trip. Recently ive done a week with Whiteroom and 3 weeks back with Jon at Ride Slovenia both of which were differnt but equally brilliant and I would totally champion both.
Ride Serria Nevada and Flow Trails La Palma both look brilliant bang for buck and Basque mtb alsways get great reviews but logisticly more arsey to sort.
Can anyone else offer opinions and options .. Thanks .. Me id head back to Slovenia perhaps i should force the issue and go on my own 🙂 Loved the country
Controversial I know but I've done BasqueMTB once and I wouldn't go again. Make of that what you will, one of their other trips may have been different but I'd now rather spend my money elsewhere.
Does it have to be an all in one complete job? I've done finale twice now and enjoyed it both times but you do have to book accomodation yourselves and sort the uplifts/some guided days.
We did a week with switchbacks at Sierra Nevada last year and enjoyed it, so long as you go in knowing its a bit disorganised and slapdash and that the owner has a personality larger than life then it could be a good option as well?
We're doing Verbier this year in September and hoping for good things.
Book a trip with freeride madeira. We sorted our own accom but they can do that for you too I think, we used them for the airport shuttle with bike bags too which was well worth it. Amazing place with a huge variety of terrain and riding on offer.
Ive been to Maderia and riding there again as above isnt something id do again .
Finale with Atlas if you want an all in one would be my pick if I wished to repeat a trip I've done.
For a slightly different vibe, Tenerife with Lavatrax was a fun trip, though if you think Basque is a logistic arse this will be worse.
Never been but caught up with an old mate the other day who is now working for these guys havign started out as a customer, it sounds great and looks good value. Lots of cheap flights UK to Malaga.

Going to Bulgaria in September.
Have heard good things, will report back.
Saw a video of that place so interested to hear what you think. The vids I saw didn't really look very much like "proper" trails, they were barely trails at all - more like deer tracks through thick undergrowth in places but maybe the video lied as the guys who did the video said it was brilliant.
Throw another name into the mix - Aosta. Been 3 years on the bounce now and the riding is incredible, as is the town itself and food options etc. Got the bike park stuff from Pila (and now even higher up off the Stela lift) as well as some off the scale lift assisted back-country footpath stuff but with Aosta Valley Freeride they'll take you further afield in the buses for big mountain days as well as shuttles of insane downhill trails. Only downside if you can call it that is that the transfers to/from Milan/Geneva are 2>2.5 hours'ish.
Cheers keep them coming .. Atlas charge a premium but offer little more than other companies and having used them before I wasnt impressed .
Out the park in Bulgaria id forgot about even though Ive emailed the guys last year 🙁 Andrew mc Scottish chap and Tommy rode with them and both said they were good so will be interested to hear your thoughts Jimmy .
Ride southern Spain again another shout. ]
Trying to carter for a group of 6 is a pain in the arse.
Been out with Andy at Ride Southern Spain about 7 times, great riding and lots of it he can do 6 easy.
Fancied Out the Park but flights are rubbish for me.
Been with Basque MTB very good but logistics are a pain.
Out with Atlas later in year hopefully very good!
Whistler? Its a long way to go for a week but I've never heard anyone that's been say anything other than its the best place you'll ride a bike
