Just brought a mint 2nd hand 2011 transition covert frame fitted with a non kashima rp23 HV boost valve shock. It sounds like its full of grit and feels like a knocking bush if you gently weight it. I did an air can service on it and it's mint inside, all the seals and bushes still like new, so it's not that. It's a little less noisy and less knocky with propedal off, but still there. My blur lt had a non boost valve HV rp23 that was smooth as butter so I know they are great shocks, but I'm wondering if this boost valve thingy is the cause of my issues. even the difference between propedal on or off isn't as pronounced as my old shock.
Has anyone else had any problems like this with these shocks, or know how to rectify it without tossing it in the bin?! And before anyone says it, yes I'd love a kashima one, but the money tree has just had been blown over by this rubbish weather!
On a good note, the covert looks sweeeeeeet, hopefully get some pics up soon!

Sounds like it could be cavitated. I got mine fixed under warranty by Mojo but you need the original receipt for the shock/frame.

The same answer as all the "is my RP23 ****ed" threads, try searching (or at least looking at the other one on the front page!)
