Sisters BF texted me last night = he is after a hybrid to commute on in less than flat north Cornwall.
He is on a very tight budget of £200 - what would you recommend?

secondhand, raid gumtree for soemthing like a carrera subway.

Or do what i do, gumtree/freeads for anything less than £30, as long as it has brake blocks and the chain isn't so stretched it skips, its a winner.

Keep it for 6 months or untill it cost more to maintain than a puncture repair kit and a bottle of chain oil.

Then wang it on ebay as "fixie project" and watchit go for £150 🙂
