looking for recommendations - best trails and accommodation - for a group of guys to head to Sheffield area for a biking trip (max 6 hour rides). Mixed riding ability c8-10 in group and some of the guys will need to hire bikes so any suggestions welcome.
Hiring in sheffiled is limited. Nearest I can think of James at the bike garage in Bamford.
Trails depends a bit on rider likes but you could do a day at Greno and Wharncliffe and have loads of fun and then maybe a second day in the peaks around Hope/Bamford.
are you set on Sheffield? Wales would be better!
Thanks has to be Sheffield - change of scenery from wales where some of them will be coming from.
Might be a bit late for you, but how about trying the YHA in Hathersage - https://www.yha.org.uk/hostel/hathersage - riding from Longshaw is really good - Lady Cannings; Blacka Moor; Stanage Edge then you could head up Hope Valley and do a ride in that area or over at Ladybower
