Another query related to my never-ending restoration of an old French steel racing bike.
I already have most of a Campagnolo Athena 11 speed drivetrain in silver finish.
For the cranks/ chainrings, Athena in silver is proving hard to obtain, and alternative 11 speed Campagnolo cranksets are all black/ carbon/ dark grey finish.
There are, however, plenty of 10 speed silver cranksets (Chorus/ Record) still around. My query is, can you use 10 speed cranks/ rings with an 11 speed system?
Thanks for any help.
Sounds nice. 10 spd square taper Chorus or Record will look a lot nicer than Powertorque Athena too.
I'm running a 10spd Dura Ace chainset with 11speed Ultegra and that works fine. I also used a 10 speed Chorus chainset with 9 speed Chorus for a good while, and that was fine too. I expect it'll be reet ๐

Yeah, shouldn't be an issue.
One issue that might be a problem - if it an old French frame it han't got a strange French type b/b it has it? That might be a pain if non English/Italian cup threads.
BB threads were std by 1990, French is decades older.
It's an English BB. At least I hope it is... (insert gritted teeth face I still don't know how to do emotionisms on here).
