Just finished, genuine 19.5 pounds with pedals and bottle cage

Scale 29 Frame
Full XTR Groupset
Kinesis Carbon fork
Crest rims/Revolution spokes/Tubeless
Chris King headset...... There’s a story here.
KCNC Seat pin
Richey WCS bar and stem

Ref the King headset. It seems all is not clear on the tapered headset front. King bottom cup measures 56 mm and the Scale/Richey headset measures 55 mm..... It seems there are more than one way to measure headsets and there are infact three different variations..... Be careful out there!

If your bars and stem matched your post (ie you got some KCNC ones), you could probably knock a few grams off.

Lovely, lovely bike though. (and I don't like the 'look' of Scotts normally)

Love it. Don't listen to the naysayers about the fork, it looks perfect. You just need to single speed it now to lose a bit more weight and make it even perfecter :o)

Nice. Ignore the jessies up there ^^^ waffling about the fork. 🙂
Looks nicer than the Niner one.
What do the tyres weigh ? SmalkBlocks in 29" are silly light (505g on my kitchen scales) & roll amazingly fast.
And SS it, or at most 1x10. 🙂

Thanks for the kind comments..

I guess were all looking for different things, and this is what I decided would be best for me, as it seemed to be an onward move form my 2010 Scale RC.... 29 Wheels, 2x10 etc.

No racing any more I’m afraid. I used to race the Nationals when I was in my 40’s [53 now] so this bike is just for pleasure.

The bike had Reba’s for the first month of it’s life and they worked very well [and added a couple of pounds]

Just the headset to sort out now, and I’m waiting to get an answer form Chris King on weather they will be making a 55mm bottom cup, but if not it doesn’t seem like too complicated a job to get one mm shaved off the one I already have
