[Closed] 18Dec 16:20 Is it snowing around Reading/Slough at the mo?
Wondering how safe it is to drive west to east along the M4 at the moment. Thanks
Twyford here about 6 miles north of M4 J10. 2 inches today if that. No snow since 1pm
Cholsey - not snowing but about 3 to 4 inches, and no gritted roads.
useful info I find from MetOffice and rainfall radar reports updated every 30min, http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/radar/, and also look at 0bservations section for local weather station reports
Thanks all - really useful stuff.
At the time of this post bbc weather was telling me that it was snowing heavily in Reading until 18:00
Apologies for the Hijack
Rob, didn't know there was a fellow STW-er in Cholsey, and felt the need to say Hi
Hijack over...
about 5 inches in Slough. Not sure the M4 but i'd avoid it. Think there were problems early.
highways agency site is useful for any issues on major routes. I use it quite a lot on my travels:
