Hi

A lot of the riding I do is on tracks and paths and I was considering a cross bike but have also been looking at possibly buying a 29er.

Wondered if anyone has ant experience of riding a 16" 29er and if you've any pics that would also be helpful as I'm interested in how how they look compared with bigger frame sizes.

Thanks

B

My Kona Unit is a 16" frame with a 22.5" top tube.

I run it with a 410mm layback post and 90m stem. (I did try an inline post as shown in the pics, but it didn't feel right.)

I had to buy a 410mm post as the standard 350mm was too short.

I like to run my post a couple of inches below the seat tube and top tube junction and the 410mm post provides just the right length.

It feels spot on for me, although there is a very slight toe overlap.

After riding a 26" wheel bike, it definately feels a slight bit taller to ride, although since I've had it; I haven't touched my 26" wheelers

I'm 5ft7 with a 31" inside leg by the way.

I have a 16" ragley td-1 i am 5.10 i love this bike,, dont have any good side on pics at hand

it feels great on the trail,, it's one of those bikes that feels like you are in it rather than on top of it ,, i run a 50mm stem i think a 70 or 60mm is recommended ,

Was looking at buying a On One Scandal 'Roller' as I've a bike I can get the rest from. Would be interesed in any other recommendations.

Cheers

I have a 16" On One Scandal which I finally finished last week. I have now had my second ride on it and absolutley love it. I have always ridden a 26er, but I must confess, I don't think I will go back to 26er's! A big statement, but it's true!
This is my Scandal which I had painted in my colour and the only difference to the picture is that I have dropped the stem nearly 3cm's because they are much taller at the front compared to my TI456 that I USED to ride!
Highly recommend a 29er!!!!

tk46hal - have you found any problems with toe overlap on the Scandal?

Thanks
