I've been looking for some 120mm forks for my 08 stumpy fsr brut struggling to find any, has anyone tried 140mm forks on one and if so what's it ride like? I see the newer models come with 140now.

Should I go for the 140's or keep looking for 120's?

Cheers

been running 140mm talas on my wifes 2007 stumpy for the last 3 years. Makes it more forgiving and relaxed on the downs and gives a bit more pedal clearance. Handling is the same in 120 mode and front end is less wandering on climbs in 100mm. You can reduce the travel on some fox forks with the simple fitting of a spacer.

My stumpy was a 2007 model and I preferred 140 to 120 (and I tried both). You will be fine with 140, and as the previous post said, buy 140s and fit the spacer if you want to try both. Enjoy!
