'10spd' c...

[Closed] '10spd' chanset & 9spd everything else; should be ok, but am I missing anything?

I need some new cranks for a new build, which'll almost certainly be 3 x 9 (as a bit too much uncertainty exists in mixing 10spd road and MTB stuff to risk 3 x 10).

I'm using Dura-Ace bar-end shifters, and M770 XT 9spd cassette, F&R mechs and chain ... but I'm not seeing a reason not to use a 10spd chainset (like the M780) as an alternative, given that there just seems to be more choice around in '10spd' chainsets.

Am I missing something obvious about this, which makes it a bad idea tho' ?
