Hi, i've got a issue with my right hand 105 road shifter (model ST-5510). I got a cable nipple stuck in it after the cable snapped, i've since fished this out but it now seems to have developed excessive side to side play in the levers. This is stopping the smaller lever from being pressed independently.

Anyone have any ideas on how to stop the play? The problem is pretty hard to explain, so sorry if that doesn't make sense!

Does it shift? I know there is a problem with the L/H ones, something goes inside the mechanism and they just stop working, mine went about 6months ago quite a dear fix to.

Yes it will shift over but it will not spring back into position after the shift. I don't have the brake cable attached currently so i'm wondering if that's it or if there is a spring inside that is knacked.

Anymore ideas?!
