Hi guys i have a friend at work who is after a new mountain bike, he wnts to spend about £1000 on a hardtail must have at least 120mm travel forks, also he needs to get it on finance so if anyone could give a few ideas that would be great ive suggested a few bikes to him, just wondering what other people think also i may have missed a few good ones

have you considered the mudy fox 'rebel' save £20 on it at argos at the moment. - http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3322998.htm
that would leave plenty of money for other things.

He should look at a) getting a zero % credit card and paying it off that way and b) Canyon hardtails - my mate's just bought a Yellowstone for something like £600 and for the money, the spec is outrageous. XT mechs, Recon forks etc etc

PaulsCycles usually have a good range of last years models at significant discounts. They also do finance.

He should buy a boardman full susser for 1k. (Unless he actually doesn't want suspension rather than just being prepared to do without - in which case he shouldn't.)
