[Closed] 1 x 9 (darkside)

Hi all

I'm altering my commuter to run 1 x 9. So far, I've got rid of the front mech and inner ring, and replaced the left shifter with a simple brake lever. So far so good. Loving the simplicity.

Next step is to get rid of the other dodgy old campag sti lever.

I was thinking that a bar-end shifter to pull the rear mech might be good (and cheap).

I’ve got a 9-speed cassette... unfortunately the vast majority of indexed options seem to pull cable based on shimano mechs/cassettes, not Campag.

Would I be right in thinking that nearly any lever will work though, as long as it's a friction-shift?

Anyone running a similar setup? Any tips?
