[#891788]

Afternoon folks.

I'm looking to book the misses onto a female specific skills course in Glentress sometime November. The ones ran by the hub are either full or have stopped. Does anyone know of a good company who hold such things?
Cheers.

I did a 2 day course with this company a couple of years ago. It wasn't specifically for women (though it turned out just to be women who were on it), but the instructor did cater for the very different level of skills of the participants. http://www.macsadventure.com/biking/scotland/courses/index.php

Thanks, she wants to go on a girlies only one though. She is pretty good already really but she just wants the 'your doing it right' nod. She won't listen to me when I try to show here bunny hops, manuals etc so I think coming from another female will be good for here. Any other suggestions?

Not at Glentress but they run women-only courses at Whinlatter in the Lake District - it's not *that* far away if you make a long weekend of it...

Where you based?
Coed LLandegla do female only courses and they also specialise further than that with female jumps and drop days and female skills days 2 or 3 options on the skills you can learn.

bob is a nice fella too.

Sorry, should have mentioned, I'm in Aberdeen so ideally somewhere within a 'couple' of hours drive. She just won't come to Glentress with me and the boys as she's a little scared even though she would cope ok.
Shhhh, thinking it would make a good birthday present......

Can't say I do, please enlighten me.... The suggestions from Trekster sound good, need to see what/when etc..

So either of you guys do 'courses' for a living?

I've been to the women's skills course run at Kirrochtree. Great fun, great value, the B and B is fantastic. Sam and Claire are great hosts, both of the course and the B and B!
