Bringing an old model name back and turning it into an eMTB is a growing trend, Intense kicked it off with the Intense Tazer, then we had the Heckler and now Santa Cruz has resurrected another classic name from the past.
The 2021 Santa Cruz Bullit is a carbon fibre eMTB with mismatched wheel sizes, options for either coil or air shocks and the latest Shimano EP8 motor system mated to a 630Wh internal battery. The Bullit differs from the Heckler as it comes with a larger battery, is only available as an MX (mullet) and offers 170mm of travel front and rear.
Santa Cruz will be offering the Bullit in five sizes starting with a Medium frame bike with 450mm and topping out with an XXL with a reach of 515mm. Geometry looks spot on with a 77 degree-ish (depending on which size you choose) seat tube angle and 64-degree head angle.
As well as choices of coil and air shocks (on the two most expensive builds), there are four complete builds to choose from and two colours, Matte Copper and Gloss Lavender.
