Starling Cycles is a British frame builder based in Bristol, founded in 2015 by Joe McEwan, a former aerospace and mechanical engineer. The company hand-builds steel full-suspension mountain-bike frames using a single-pivot layout, with the 29in Murmur as its signature model.

Frames are welded by hand in the UK and offered in custom geometry, alongside a Taiwan-made 'Factory' version of the Murmur. Starling sells directly to customers and has exhibited — and won awards — at the UK's Bespoked handmade bicycle show.
