2002 Cannondale F700 CAAD4  in Small.

This was my daughters old bike, but it’s been stood for at least a decade unused.

CAAD4 aluminium frame,

Fatty Super DL headshok fork.

LX cranks 2 chainrings and a homemade chain guard/bash.

I think Altus rear mech

LX front mech

Magura Julie brakes

Deore hubs/mavic X223 rims. tiny bit of play in the rear hub.

9 speed sram rocket shifter/deore LH

cheap risers and kalloy seatpost

Specialized Toupe saddle

doesn’t come with a chain, and I’d recommend the cassette is replaced too if getting a new chain. the old chain was rusty and seized. I can supply and fit a chain and cassette or around £30 if needed.

Overall condition is decent considering it’s age and that it’s not been used for such a long time.  There is some bubbling under the paint in places, but fairly minor.

Wheels are true and run fine, bb fine, seatpost moves fine, nothing is seized up.

The LH brake lever bolt has stripped at one point so the lever is zip tied to the shifter to keep it from rotating.

The headshok however will need some attention.

It’s moves pretty smoothly and does hold air for a bit, but I think there’s a leaky seal in the air piston or air cartridge.

The lockout functions perfectly, but there is a clunky top out. I’m not sure if the top out bumper has split, or if it’s something else as I’ve not had the cartridge out. So it’ll need at least a cartridge service to get it working.

There is a pretty comprehensive cartridge strip here: https://community.vintagecannondale.com/threads/headshock-super-fatty-first-attempt-on-service.277/

collection preferred, but can get a box and package if buyer wants to pay for and arrange postage.
