BESPOKED Handmade Bike Show returns to the UK for 2024, and Singletrack World will be there this year!

Press Release begins:

Embracing an enthusiastic response from visitors, exhibitors and international media alike, BESPOKED confirmed its position as the premier showcase of bicycle craftsmanship and innovation in Europe.

After a year on the mainland, BESPOKED has returned to the UK for the Summer of 2024 with an exciting new venue. This year’s show will be held at the iconic Victoria Baths in Manchester, named the “European Capital of Cycling” 2024, from the 28 -30th of June 2024.

Unforgettable Highlights and Lasting Impressions

“Victoria Baths is an ideal venue for the show, with its glass roof, neutral palette and ornate interiors. Manchester is ideally situated at the center of the UK geographically, with fantastic transport links and proximity to the Lake District and Peak District, which make up some of the finest riding in the UK ” says BESPOKED’s Peter Georgallou.

The event, which extends over three days, estimates an attendance of thousands of handmade enthusiasts, industry professionals, and members of the cycling community. Attendees will be treated to a feast of design and ingenuity, amidst a warm, familial atmosphere where the maker of each bicycle can tell their own story, as well as fantastic food and drinks.

The weekend coincides with the start of this year’s Tour de France, which will be playing on the big screen in the bar area during the show, offering an incredible atmosphere for sports fans and spectators!

A Year of Preparation and Expectation

After a year away from the UK, the promise of exceptional works from makers who have refined their craft to unprecedented degrees, holds a greater allure than ever for handmade bike fans in the UK. The BESPOKED team is dedicated to providing an even more impactful and inclusive event, promising to be an essential date in the cycling industry’s calendar.

Stay Tuned for the Journey

Enthusiasts and professionals are encouraged to stay connected through the event’s website and social media channels for updates and features leading up to the 2024 UK and EU shows. The journey to the next BESPOKED begins now, and it’s one that the global cycling community is invited to join.

This is very cool. I’ve never been to Bespoked but its always interesting to see what the exhibitors are making. I’ve bookmarked the dates in my diary.

Excellent. I went to Bristol a few times (and exhibited once – maybe 2013 ish?) but never made it to the other venues. This one is going straight in the diary.

    What?

Yep – Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Paris, even London… They have nothing on Manchester!

Anyway, at least the show is local to me, I’ll be there!

Ooh, local, nice. Would like to come.

My reaction, too… however after a bit of googling, it seems this is more to be used as a springboard to improve cycling in Manc rather than to say it is currently the best city for cycling in Europe.

@sharkattack Cost of living and all that may have increased things, but looking back, I paid £20 for the Harrogate show a few years back and if I recall correctly that was on a ‘buy one, admit two’ offer. There always seem to be offers of that kind kicking about.

Is there a carpark at the venue where you could camp for 3 days ?

Will be there, but as others have said, I also can’t see any price or booking details, only trade registration for exhibitors.

The nearest option I’d consider is the velodrome car park a couple of miles up the road which often allows van camping when there’s a multi-day event on there. Longsight (which is where the venue is) is really not the place to be leaving a car with a load of bike stuff in the back!

There’s a couple of cheap hotels like Travelodge on Upper Brook Street, the road into Manchester.

Look out for Collins cycle works as he’ll be exhibiting and makes some great stuff. Just been given this waist pack for review. Lovely fidlock clasps and bottle mount

Victoria baths, oodles of nice bikes, and then sit in the bar watching some Tour! The perfect weekend. It’s in the diary now.

Bit of a longshot this one but I’m taking a couple of customer bikes for my stand at the show (haven’t built them yet) and one of the customers needs his bike for a trip at the same time so I can’t display that one anymore. So now I’m looking for someone that wants a bike/frame built but doesn’t need it until after the show (end of June). For display bikes, I’ll absorb the cost of a fancier than normal paint job.

Hit me up via the website if you’re interested.

Just an update for anyone wanting tickets: at this stage it’s a ‘Save The Date’ affair because they’re currently getting exhibitors booked in. Then they’ll sell tickets – and as the venue is a little smaller than some previously, they think it might sell out. We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we hear they’re going on sale!
