Back From The Dead: We Need To Talk About Jack

by 8

I have got LOTS to talk about this month at Happy Days! Medical drama, ultimate stress, things that I’ve fixed, things that I’ve broken, but first off let’s start with young Jack!  Jack was brought to us originally as a volunteer by one of the charity directors that’s a family friend of his. I wasn’t setting my hopes too high for him before he started, but he blew me away on his very first day with his enthusiasm and willingness to listen and learn. I’d been told he was ‘into bikes’ but there’s definite levels to how ‘into’ something you can...

We should club together and buy jack a couple of new tools each month… I’ll throw a few quid in to top up his set.

Well done. I’m think that apprenticeships can work excellently.

Best of luck Jack, sounds like you have a good employer too!

I worked in bike shops a lot of the time between 18 and 22 and had a great time.

This is great news for the shop and for Jack. Congratulations! The shop has come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of years. This is an Aladdin’s cave of a bike shop. Whatever I need, there’s usually something lying around that’s perfectly serviceable, for a MUCH lower price.
