Singletrack MegaSack Countdown 2021 Day 4 – Vee Tire Gravity Tyres

by 9

Yesterday it was all about the 29r but fear not small wheel lovers, for today we have some rubber just for you.

We have a pair of Vee Tire Attack HPL 27.5 x 2.5 plus some Vee Tire branded pint glasses and a couple of Vee Tire masks to keep all your nasty lurgy contained in your face.

Vee Tire Co. is based in Thailand and this is where their rubber plantation and factories are located.

The Gravity Core construction is aimed at DH/Freeride and is more durable but not necessarily harder wearing, as both the Gravity and Enduro Core tyres use the same Top 40 rubber compound.

The Attack HPL is a surprisngly versatile tyre. It works well as a loose-over-hardpack tyre and our testers have been impressed by the performance of it in moderate mud conditions too.

The HPL construction is suited to aggro bike parks as well as regular trail centre bashings. The tyre also has racing pedigree (2021 UCI World Cup DH season and at RedBull Hardline.

In our Vee Tire Attack HPL review we said: “Vee Tire Co. might not be a household name, but if they keep producing tyres like the HPL then it won’t be long before everyone has heard of them. Overall a great package for riders wanting ultimate grip and confidence across a variety of terrains.”

Here’s what Vee Tire have to say about these Tyres…

“The newest tire to join our gravity line-up. Attack HPL has been tested on and off the World Cup circuit by Vee Tire athletes, our freeride team at high-stakes competitions and our team at home and abroad. The HPL represents the cutting-edge of fast high-speed ability, unparalleled precision and dampening qualities that pros and weekend warriors all appreciate. Traction defying Top 40 compound and our tried and trusted puncture protection ensures the new HPL is the tire to rely on in all conditions.”

How do I enter?

Log in to reveal the entry form in this story and answer the question you’ll find there. The answer you seek will be in the video above.

Answering the daily question gives you two chances to win: you’ll be entered into the daily draw for that day’s prize; and you’ll also get one entry into the Megasack draw.

Every time you correctly answer a daily question and enter a daily draw, you get another entry into the Megasack. You can go back and enter the daily answers after that daily prize has been drawn, and it will still give you an extra entry into the Megasack draw.

The rules are strictly one member one entry/day. If we detect any attempt at multiple daily entries we will remove all those users entries from the draw.

And another thing… Really sorry to our overseas readers but we can only send prizes to a UK address. If you have a friend or an address you can use in the UK for a prize then by all means enter. What will Mark be drinking by his fireside when he picks the MegaSack winner? *

Day 3 Winner

Congratulations to yesterday’s winner of a set of Continental Der Kaiser Projext 29 x 2.4 plus a litre of Revoseal sealant. We’ll be packing them up and sending them to user mwab65. If you are out there, give us a Whoop Whoop in the comments.

These look seriously good, and I’m desperate to find a tyre set that works for me, nearly through my last ‘experiment’ ones!

I got excited when I read small wheel lovers thinking I could get some tyres for my 26” wheels. But no it’s medium sized wheel.

Entered today and got a confirmation email, entered days 1 & 3 and didn’t. How odd!

I do need to win one of the days’ prizes, or ideally the full megasack (#kerching) … have just got a new (to me) FS frame to build up, but no parts and no money! So, if you could make sure the megasack (#kerching) contains 29er wheels, tyres, forks, drivetrain stuff, bars, stem, that would be amazing! 🤞
