Just a week after he dislocated his elbow in Val di Sole, Scott Beaumont raced in Afan to ensure he took home the overall title. Round 5 and 6 of the Schwalbe British 4X Series was held in Afan, South Wales earlier this month. Not an easy decision to make, but Scott knew if he didn’t race he’d miss out on the overall.
Check in with Scott in Afan to see how his race went. The Afan Trail Volunteers worked really hard to get the 4X track back to top condition before the race. Things were looking good and the weather was great all weekend.
After dislocating his elbow in a crash (that wasn’t his fault) at World Championships in Val Di Sole, Italy one week earlier, Scott was determined to challenge for the Schwalbe British 4X Series title to add to his National Championships title that he won earlier in the year.
Scott was far from fully fit, but he managed to get on track and race for the title.
Beaumont Racing
Earlier in the season, Scott managed to secure his tenth national championship title. He wanted more from Val di Sole this year but it wasn’t to be.
This season hasn’t been all bad of course, national champion and overall winner of the 2021 elite men’s Schwalbe British 4X Series Champion.
