Burgtec replaces the much-loved Mk2 with an all-new Mk3 Enduro stem available in all the usual Burgtec colours.
Burgtec manufactures a lot of cool kit. From carbon handlebars, and flat pedals, to alloy axles and oval chainrings, the lads in Macclesfield know a thing or two about producing high-performance parts.
For the past few years, Burgtec has seen a real rise in profile, becoming a sponsor of the Santa Cruz Syndicate, being a long time supporter for Josh Bryceland and the 50:01 crew and even having their parts fitted to high-end off the peg bikes from the likes of Orange, Forbidden and others.
The new Mk3 Enduro stem is the replacement to the popular Mk2 and as the name suggests it’s designed for enduro riding, but we’re sure to see a few fitted to jib rigs in 50:01 videos over the coming years.
In comparison to the MK2, the MK3 Enduro stem has a smoother, more organic look and an overall more modern appearance. The larger 41mm stack offers a larger clamping area on the steerer which Burgtec says they’ve done for improved rigidity. The new forged manufacturing process further improves the rigidity of the MK3 over the MK2 also.
Another change is the move to dual bar clamps rather than a single faceplate, bringing the design inline with the direct mount MK3 downhill stem.
The stem is manufactured from forged AL6061 T6 aluminium then CNC finished. All bolts are stainless steel as standard and the complete weight for a 35mm length MK3 is just 138g. If you fancy shaving more weight off then a Ti bolt kit will be made available in July.
Burgtec will offer the Mk3 Enduro stem in either 31.8mm or 35mm clamp options, in a choice of 9 colours and in 35mm, 42.5mm and 50mm lengths.

thank goodness, an aftermarket stem!
I like a bling stem but that just looks like tons of others on the market. Can’t see the Mk3 having a GoPro light mount faceplate either. I’ll stick with my Mk2!
