Nukeproof Colouring Competition | Bikes of the future?

by 10

We were completely overwhelmed with entries to our competition with Nukeproof to win a Cub Scout. Not only did hundreds of children spend a great deal of time on their artwork, they also gave us a glimpse of what the perfect bike looks like to them.

Colour choices aren’t just decided last minute. There are trends, and in many cases there is the use of a professional who monitors and predicts what is going to be in for the upcoming season. No, really! Remember our Colour Wheels feature back in issue 126? Well wouldn’t it be great if someone just asked their kid for help. Check out these bright fun designs.

We are also extremely grateful to the people and companies that sent us pages to colour in. Emma Whitaker‘s mountains were a hit, as was Jill Kinter‘s masterpiece.

Rosanna took some time on this!

Amanda is our resident pedaller, who loves the climbs as much as the descents. No genre of biking is turned down, though she is happiest when at the top of a mountain with a wild descent ahead of her. If you ever want a chat about concussion recovery, dealing with a Womb of Doom or how best to fuel an endurance XC race, she's the one to email.

Awesome! Thanks STW team for sharing!

Loving the giant Nukeproof-branded giant Fly Agaric mushroom in the Age 9 category. I feel that my woodland rides would be greatly enriched by more oversized, brightly coloured fungi.

Rasta-anodised crankset on that same picture too. Class.

We’ve done the purple resurrection, surely rasta-ano is due a resurgence? Come on Chris King, Keith Bontrager, et. al. Would be good to see those red, gold, green and black colourways again.

I love the “Queen of Gnar” …. i’m now wondering if my bike is due a respray 🙂

I want a top tube like in Claire Jaimes Gonzalez’s (age 4) picture! That would make me smile every time I looked at it 🙂

Nice! It brought a smile to my 10 year old’s face to see her picture online. Thanks.

Nice!!!! Thats my girl holding her picture behind the title…. Thanks STW.

So which one of these artists did you use for the new cover you’ve been hyping up? TBH they’re all good enough. Nice work to all the colourists.

Well this has brightened up my morning!
To be honest, I reckon that Age 2 one would look pretty good!

Agree with the calls for rasta colours to make a comeback

Pink tyres could be the future!!!! (age 44 category)
