The Renthal Fatbar (and Fatbar 35) is an iconic bit of kit, used by downhillers, trail riders and enduro elites alike. Everyone likes the flexibility of the four-different rises (10mm, 20mm, 30mm and 40mm) and the fact that they’re all now wide enough for anyone, and trimmable to fit those of us without gorilla arms (or with trees…)
The trouble is, though, is that not everyone liked the classic, trademark Renthal gold colour. Even on the carbon bars, there was still that flash of gold and not everyone finds that it matches their bike (or their grips, or shoes or teeth). And so Renthal has produced a limited edition run of ultraviolet-printed bars that feature a slightly raised, gloss black logo over a black bar.
The finish is only available on the carbon Fatbars, and only for a limited amount of time.
We’ve just had a discussion in the office to see if these Fatbars count as being ‘murdered out’ – with the bars being a flat, satin black and the logo being a UV-gloss. Is that black enough? Or will the gloss shine give you away on those black-ops night rides? We’ll leave the fine details of that up to you – but everyone here seems to like the look, compared to the black with gold (and a bit of red, and some white too…) of the standard Fatbar. In fact, if you like the look as much as we do, you should probably get some while you can. We’ve not heard how limited the run is going to be.
Using a new, Ultra-Violet printing process, the graphics have a supreme high level of gloss and a raised, 3D appearance.

I would buy these now.
That’s more like it. Hopefully they’ll sell like hotcakes and Renthal will roll it out to the rest of their range.
800 bars available.
I just thought it important to recognise the genius inclusion of the Fast Show clip at the end there. 🙂
