Cédric Gracia - Vallnord Track Walk

Video: Cédric Gracia’s Vallnord Track Walk

by 1

Be warned, this video has swearing in it from the start, so if you are of a delicate linguistic constitution it may offend you. Accompanied by various people including the Mayor of Vallnord, it’s thirteen minutes of Cedric talking about the track, but at most people’s speaking pace it would be twenty minutes.

To give you an idea of the kind of irrepressible person Cédric is, here’s a screenshot from our Facebook page. We’d posted about a design collaboration that a shoe company did with Cédric, and:

He opens with “We’re on a real track now, not Leogang”, and at several points down the run says things like “This would make a good bar”. As well as Cédric being Cédric, it’s a really good detailed look at a World Cup course that you just can’t get from a helmet cam run at high speed.

David started mountain biking in the 90’s, by which he means “Ineptly jumping a Saracen Kili Racer off anything available in a nearby industrial estate”. After growing up and living in some extremely flat places, David moved to Yorkshire specifically for the mountain biking. This felt like a horrible mistake at first, because the hills are so steep, but you get used to them pretty quickly. Previously, David trifled with road and BMX, but mountain bikes always won. He’s most at peace battering down a rough trail, quietly fixing everything that does to a bike, or trying to figure out if that one click of compression damping has made things marginally better or worse. The inept jumping continues to this day.
