Scott Belshaw from Kona Bikes dropped by nice and early this morning with an exclusive look at the new Hei Hei Carbon from Kona. We’re told these are the only two in the Country, and he’s left one of them with us to play out on. They’ll be in the shops available to buy in early June.
We have the racier version here at ST Towers for testing
The two frames are the same (apart from the colours, obv), but with the Hei Hei Race flat out XC race bike set up with 100mm travel front and rear and the Hei Hei DL set up for trail riding with a 120mm fork and 100mm rear travel, giving a slightly more relaxed feel. The Hei Hei DL also features a dropper post, wider bars, agressive tyres, bigger wheels, lock on grips and a few other tweaks to make it set for the gnar. Watch the video here for further information, and check out Fresh Goods Friday next week for plenty of close up shots:

Both models come in at £3,999, so it’s up to you to choose the set up that suits you best. Vroom or Gnar? You decide.

Rode the Alu version last year – so, so good.
Lush, want one

One of the riders on the prototype said the bare frame weighs 1600g. Very competitive if that is true.
