Hope Technology Teases UK-Made Carbon Frame

The tinkerers at Hope Technology are masters of the ‘Because we can’ ethos of product development. When designing Hope’s chain device, they realised it would display better on a home-grown crank, so they developed their own cranks… And now, with a carbon manufacturing setup at the factory, Hope’s engineers are continuing to tinker. When you’re already producing carbon seatposts, you might as well make – well, full carbon frames?

That’s certainly what it looks like, with Hope teasing out this photo on the bank holiday Monday, along with the caption: “What do we have here then…. #hopetech #madeinuk #carbon #manufacturingmonday #becausewecan” to its 75,000 Instagram followers.

Whether it’s something that Hope is going to produce or not isn’t clear. If it’s anything like its cranks, cassette or pedals, we would suggest you don’t hold your breath, but it’ll probably happen one day.
