Press Release:

“GET READY FOR THE ‘ARD MOORS ENDURO PRESENTED BY ENVE

The cat’s out of the bag! The ‘Ard Rock team have been up-moors creating a weekend of bikes, buddies and beers for your enjoyment. Launching 18th September 2016 the ‘Ard Moors Enduro promises quality trails and entertainment at a cracking new venue up on’t Moors for your mountain bicycling pleasure.

The highest hills on the moors, old-school classic DH tracks, steep woods and stunning moors to attack until you give-in, or get-on! Scouted out the roughest and toughest areas, and designed a bloody good course, with more secret trails and unridden areas than you can shake a stick at. Tell you what, make a proper weekend of it and camp over for local beers and burgers at the onsite pub at Lordstones Country Park on Saturday night – just make sure you get some proper sleep for the big day on Sunday…

ENVE Composites are on side as the title sponsor through distributor, Saddleback. Here’s what Marketing manager Martin Astley has to say “Saddleback is really excited to align ENVE Composites with this first class event. The ‘Ard Rock has proven to be a huge success, and from what I’ve seen of the upcoming ‘Ard Moors, we’re all in for a treat this September!”

As always, entries are on a first-come-first-served basis, going live at 0700 on March 1st. Enter on time to avoid missing out, and remember, the Moors in’t as flat as you think, so get the ’sen up yonder hills for some proper training.”

David started mountain biking in the 90’s, by which he means “Ineptly jumping a Saracen Kili Racer off anything available in a nearby industrial estate”. After growing up and living in some extremely flat places, David moved to Yorkshire specifically for the mountain biking. This felt like a horrible mistake at first, because the hills are so steep, but you get used to them pretty quickly. Previously, David trifled with road and BMX, but mountain bikes always won. He’s most at peace battering down a rough trail, quietly fixing everything that does to a bike, or trying to figure out if that one click of compression damping has made things marginally better or worse. The inept jumping continues to this day.
